Love Stories

“Thank you for helping my family out when we were struggling. My part time job was not covering enough for certain things. Calling was difficult, and I appreciate the non judgmental phone people. We still have the beds, and appreciate the water bill assistance you gave. I’ve switched jobs and am now working full time. I hope to be able to contribute more in the months to come, but for now may this $25 help in the work you are doing. Thank you for all you have done and the hope your group provided to myself, wife, and kids.”

“When did we see you sick…”  The older lady in need of medication assistance was helped.  She only needed help with the Copay so it was a doable and important assistance.  She was relieved that we could assist.

Although the copay was only $30 it still was a burden for her as she was not feeling well, and on limited income.  She was met at Walgreens, we got her medication, and said a quick prayer with her.  Part of proper healing is rest, mediation, and for some a encouraging group behind you.  Love INC provides that.

“When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”  –Matthew 25:39-40

“Love your neighbor…”  “Thank you for helping.  Two different people suggested I call last month, and I’m glad I did.  Being here for a few months, and trying to fit in you are the first ones that helped emotionally.  The prayers of the ones that came to my house were calming, and I’m looking forward to going to their church.”

This individual received some furniture items, kitchen, linen, and bedding.   People support was also given, and from what she shared our volunteers made and impact.

“Aren’t you more worth than a sparrow?”     A call was received from a school social worker of a family she was working with.   The parent called the clearinghouse and things began.   A home that had been empty for some time was now filled with furniture, kitchen items, beds, and dressers.   Lamps were given to give light.   We are thankful that agencies in our community see us as a viable resource that helps the clients they are also working with.

In all 11 Gap Ministries were used for this family and 23 caring individuals took part in connecting with them.

The desire of Love INC is in our interaction with people.   We want people to experience the love of Christ in a life changing way.  We desire to see our community transformed through the love and power of Christ.  We desire to give the body of Christ a tool to get into the community.
